\"screenr_logo_small\"<\/a> Last week we at Articulate<\/a> released a brand spankin’ new product called Screenr<\/a>, which allows you to easily record your screen and share it anywhere online<\/strong>: Twitter, YouTube, your website, your blog, email, etc. You can also playback any screencast via iPhone, and you can download an .MP4 QuickTime version to use in Articulate-powered projects or anywhere else. <\/p>\n

Since the release on Tuesday<\/a>, the Twittersphere has been blowing up with mentions of Screenr<\/a>, either people reviewing the app or posting links to their screencasts.<\/p>\n

When we launched, ReadWriteWeb posted a review that was syndicated<\/a> in The New York Times Online the next day. CNET contacted us to review the new app, and wrote a review called Easiest screencasts ever: Screenr<\/a>, declaring that Screenr is “the best option for creating screencasts fast<\/strong> and getting them posted immediately. All you do is let the Java-powered recording app load from the Screenr Web page and hit a button to record a screencast of up to five minutes.”<\/p>\n

And yup, it really is that easy. Here’s all you do to create a screencast:<\/p>\n

  1. Go to Screenr.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Click one of the Record <\/strong>buttons.<\/li>\n
  3. Size <\/strong>the recording frame to meet your needs:\n

  4. Click the red record button <\/strong>to record and narrate.<\/li>\n
  5. Click Done <\/strong>to finish and preview your screencast.<\/li>\n
  6. Type an interesting description and click the Tweet It!<\/strong> <\/strong>button to publish & tweet your screencast:\n

  7. Optionally, check the box to Don’t tweet this screencast<\/strong>, and click the Post It!<\/strong> button to publish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After that, sharing your screencast is just as easy. Here’s a quick screencast<\/a> I created that shows you how to share it:<\/p>\n

    The review on Mashable<\/a> says this: “If you want to create a simple and straightforward video tutorial that\u2019s less than 5 minutes, you\u2019ll be hard-pressed to find a better tool.”<\/p>\n

    Comments from Twitter users echo that sentiment, and you can browse some of @Screenr’s favorites here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    So whether it’s a software tutorial, a website overview<\/a>, or even a hurricane update<\/a>, you can use Screenr to record anything on your screen. <\/p>\n
